THE ROLE:
As Innovation Officer at Normark Defence, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and fostering strategic alliances with leading researchers and universities across Denmark. Your responsibilities will encompass identifying emerging technologies, negotiating collaboration agreements, and spearheading innovation initiatives that propel our company forward. You will work closely with the Business Development Officer and Project Manager and refer directly to the Business Unit Leader.
The work location will be at our office in Søborg, but with working from home as a natural part of our day-to-day operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively identify and evaluate new technologies and research projects at Danish universities relevant to the defence sector.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, university leadership, and industry partners.
- Lead the commercialization of research outcomes through strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and funding opportunities to inform business strategy and drive growth.
- Identify and analyse relevant markets, identify and formulate use- cases, create technology driven business cases and drive your identified go-to-market strategy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferably a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development or technology transfer, preferably within the defence industry.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close deals effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in
- both Danish and English.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset, with the ability to
- identify market opportunities and drive innovation.
- The candidate should foresee undergoing screening for the security
- clearance: NATO SECRET.
