THE ROLE:
As Innovation Officer at Normark Defence, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and fostering strategic alliances with leading researchers and universities across Denmark. Your responsibilities will include identifying emerging technologies, negotiating collaboration agreements, and spearheading innovation initiatives that propel our company forward. You will be part of the Lyngby team and work closely with the team Commercial Officer (Business Development) and Project Officer (Project Management) and refer directly to the Business Unit Lead of Lyngby. The work location will be at our office in Lyngby, but with working from home as a natural part of our day-to-day operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively identify and evaluate new technologies and research projects at Danish universities relevant to the defence sector.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, university leadership, and industry partners.
- Initiate the commercialization of research outcomes through technology/marked analysis, strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive technologies, and funding opportunities to form business strategy and drive growth.
- Pair new innovative technology with relevant markets, identify and formulate use-cases, create technology driven business cases and drive your identified go-to-market strategy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferably a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development or technology transfer, preferably within the defence industry.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset, with the ability to identify technology and market opportunities and drive innovation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both Danish and English.
- The candidate should foresee undergoing screening for the security clearance: NATO SECRET.
- A candidate with a background in armed forces and practical field or operative experience will be preferred. A demonstrated ability in negotiation will also be favourable.
